Welcome

Welcome to the upland parish of Horton in Ribblesdale situated at the heart of the Three Peaks area of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The area is a renowned stopping off place on the Pennine Way and is a magnet for cavers, walkers, fell runners, cyclists, geologists and those who seek the tranquillity of the hills.

This site aims to provide a wealth of information and news for the community who live and work here as well as being a source of useful information for all our visitors both on line and in the flesh. As you can see our parish is one of the largest in  North Yorkshire   and includes a treasure trove of places of interest. Flanked by the mountains of Ingleborough to the west and Pen-y-Ghent to the east.

It's provided by the Parish Council and freely available to all residents of the Parish to use to share their news, pictures, the events and activities of local groups and any information you would like to bring to the attention of a wider audience. All material for inclusion on the site should be sent in any format to the Parish Clerk at the address clerk@hortoninribblesdale-pc.gov.uk

We are always open to suggestions for improvements to the site and for requests for information you would like to see displayed here.
