Network Rail update on Eden Brows update

Eden Brows landslide affecting train journeys to Carlise on track for March 2017 completion.

After another solid week of work plenty of progress has been made including the completion of
securing the rock netting.

In other news the temporary guide wall which will assist with the installation of the piles is due to
commence on Monday.

Once consents are in place further de-vegetation of the slope will also take place.

The final development of the detailed design for the new wall and slab to support the railway is ongoing.

The piles for the structural works are in production whilst the design for the slope is progressing well with
meetings scheduled with Natural England.

The March 2017 reopening date is still on track.
